Fresh Cherry Limeade with Honey-Cherry Simple Syrup
This quick and easy mocktail is perfect for warmer weather and oh so refreshing!
Honey- Cherry Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
1/2 cup of water
1/3 cup of honey
Optional: 1/2 tsp of grated fresh ginger
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine cherries and water (add ginger if using)
Simmer over medium heat for 10–12 minutes until cherries are soft.
Lightly mash cherries to release more flavor.
Remove from heat and stir in honey until fully dissolved.
Optional: Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smooth syrup—or leave it unstrained for a fruit-forward twist.
Cool completely and refrigerate until ready to use.
Cherry Limeade Assembly
Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
1/2 cup honey-cherry syrup (or more to taste)
2 to 2½ cups cold sparkling water or still water
Ice
Garnishes: lime slices, cherries, mint sprigs
Instructions:
Stir lime juice and syrup together in a pitcher.
Add sparkling water and mix gently. Adjust to taste.
Pour over ice in glasses. Garnish and serve!
Bonus Tips: Add a splash of vodka, bourbon, or tequila for an adult version. Stir in fresh mint or a dash of grenadine for a fun twist.
