Tomato Garlic Braised Italian Sausage

This is a simple recipe that utilizes fresh ingredients. If you’re in a hurry, add World Classics Pasta Sauce to the cooked sausage instead, simmer and serve atop a bed of Fasolino’s Pasta.

Serves 4-6

1 Lb Bulk Johnsonville Italian Sausage
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
2 Tbsp Red or White Wine
2 Lbs Fresh Tomatoes, chopped
1 Package Fasloino's Rigatoni Pasta
Salt and Pepper, to taste


Heat the oil in a large deep frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Break up the sausage as you cook it. Add the garlic and cook for one minute, then add the wine, stir and cook another 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes to the pan and stir to incorporate.
Turn the heat to low and let the mixture cook for 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve over your favorite pasta or polenta.
