We all know the qualities most great Chefs share; creativity, passion, business sense, attention to detail, and the list goes on. Here at Bringing it Home we have the opportunity to surround ourselves with amazing Chefs every day. We look at these Chefs as educators of the latest trends in the kitchen, innovative products, and the freshest ingredients of the season.

Below is a list of some of the Chefs we have had the pleasure of working with or are schduled to work with in 2011!

 

Michael Midgley- Michael Midgley owns his own catering company called Midgley Catering.  He is also the Chef at Sorelle Winery in Stockton, CA.  Michael cooked on our “Salute to the Troops” episode that aired on July 3, 2011.

Patrick Mulvaney-  Patrick is the chef/owner of Mulvaney’s B & L in Sacramento, CA.  He joined us on the “Cherries” episode that aired on July 10, 2011.

Michael Chiarello- Michael CHiarello is the Executive Chef of Bottega Napa Valley and also tastemaker behind the NapaStyle retail company.  Michael is an award winning chef and Emmy winning Food Network host.  Michael will be cooking on our “Heirloom Tomatoes” episode, which airs July 24, 2011.

Duncan Gott-  Duncan Gott is owner of the Gott’s Roadside.  These family owned restaurants are a delicious take on the classic diner and burger joint!  It is a must-visit!  Locations are in St. Helena, SF Ferry Building, and Napa.  Duncan will be cooking on our “50’s Food” episode that airs July 31, 2011.

Jason Collis- Jason is the Executive chef and owner of Jonathan’s at Peirano’s restaurant in Ventura, CA.  Jason also caters events at Limoneira in Ventura, CA.  He will be cooking on our “Summer Fun” episode, which airs on August 7, 2011

Tim Kilcoyne-  Tim is the Executive Chef and Owner of The Sidecar Restaurant in Ventura, CA.  Tim is also the Executive Chef at The Local Café in Ventura, CA.  Tim will be cooking on our “Fresh for Summer” episode which airs August 21, 2011.

Chef Lala- Chef Lala is an internationally known chef and nutritionist.  Chef Lala has two cookbooks and her own catering company.  Chef Lala will be cooking on our “Mexican Independence” episode that airs September 11, 2011.

John Besh-  John Besh has a calling for Louisiana cuisine, as shown in all six of his restaurants: August, Besh Steak, Luke, La Provence, American Sector and Domenica.  Food and Wine named John as one of the "Top 10 Best New Chefs in America".  John opens up his restaurant, Domenica in New Orleans, for our "Italian" episode which airs on October 16, 2011.

John Folse- John Folse is a world-renown chef with a passion for Louisiana culture and cuisine.  John is the owner of Lafitte's Landing in Donaldsonville, LA which opened in 1978.  His manufacturing company is one of the few chef-owned manufacturing companies in the world.  John also hosts a cooking segment called "Stirrin' it Up".  John joins us on our Seafood BBQ episode which will air on November 6, 2011.

Jet Tila-   Jet Tila is the executive Chef at the Wazuzu Restaurant at the Wynn Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Jet is a nationally celebrated chef specializing in all styles of Asian Cuisine. At the age of 22, he held cooking classes in his backyard.  Jet will be cooking on our “Holiday Fusion” show which airs on November 27, 2011.

Robert Del Grande- is a celebrated chef in America and Executive Chef and Partner of the renowned RDG and Bar Annie in Houston, Texas.  He is also one of the founders of Cafe Express which is a sporty yet sophisticated cafe that offers and antidote to the fast food culture.  Chef Robert joins us for our "Hearty Meals" episode.

Cat De Orio- Sara Lee Chef Cat De Orio is a leading food expert who appears on media outlets across the country to share her culinary expertise.  Cat is also a food trends contributor to In Touch Weekly.  Chef Cat joins us for our "Thanksgiving" episode.

 

Bill Corbett-  Bill is a star among the nation's top pastry chefs aand has been awarded Best Pastry Chef for San Francisco's 2011 Best Chef Awards.  Corbett brings technique and innovation to his desserts and pastries while keeping them accessible and well balanced.

Josh Thomsen- Josh is an extremely talented Chef who is living his dream.  Currently the Executive Chef at The Meritage Restaurant at The Claremont Hotel.  His culinary opportunities include studying under Thomas Keller at The French Laundry and being the opening Chef de cuisine at Tao Restaurant in Las Vegas which was named the highest grossing restaurant in the U.S. during his time there.
